Right before the start of his senior year, Ben is told he has a year to live. He is diagnosed with a fierce and fast blood disease. He decides to forgo treatment since it will only make him sicker, faster and add little time to his life. Instead of despairing, he decides that he's going to leave in a way that no one will be able to forget. The last thing he wants is for everyone to be feeling bad for him or breaking it to his already torn family so he decides to tell no one of his condition. He goes full out going out for football, getting a date with the popular and athletic Dallas Suzuki, never holds back his opinions, and reaches out to those who he wouldn't even of talked to. Ben has a year to live, but he sure isn't going out without a bang.

-Our Rating: This book was one of those reads you can't help but love and hate at the same time. You're sucked into the story of Ben and him trying to live a life in a year but as you grow closer to the character, it gets angering that he's going to die. By the time you reach the end it's almost like you expect a miraculous cure to come. The book is still amazing and has you hooked until his final day.
