Pendragon: The Merchant of Death by D.C. MacHale

This is a action packed novel about Bobby Pendragon, a fourteen year old boy that goes on the adventure of a lifetime. It was just a regular day for Bobby, until his Uncle Press came over to tell him he needed his help. Wanting to help his favorite uncle, Bobby goes with him having no idea what he was helping with knowing only that there were some people his uncle needed to help. The last thing that Bobby expected was that his Uncle would take him to a portal that transports "Travelers" to different worlds and different times. He is taken to a territory called Denduron that is on the verge of a revolutionary war with the Milago people trying to free themselves from the slave like conditions inflicted by the Bedowan. Bobby plans to run as soon as he can until his Uncle is captured and him and his new allies go to save him from the enemy. He quickly realizes that his life as a Traveler isn't about to end anytime soon and that he is more than he ever knew.

Pages: 372

Gender: Both
Reader Type: sci-fi, fantasy
Our Rating: We really enjoyed this book. We liked the link to the real world and how Bobby viewed the world of Denduron the same way an average teenager would making it very relatable.
