Amy's family just wants a new start after her father dies. So her mother decides that they're going to move from California to Connecticut and it will be Amy's job to get their car to their new home. The problem is she refuses to drive since her dad's death in a car accident. So her mom enlists the help of an old family friend's son, Roger, to drive the car and also reach Pennsylvania where he has to spend the summer with his dad. When the drive begins, they realize that it wouldn't truly be a road trip if they kept to the strict scheduled places Amy's mom has set up for them and decide to take a few detours. Throughout the book, Amy has to try to come out of the shell she's put herself in since her father's death and get the power to actually talk about what had happened that fateful day while Roger is just looking for a way to make things right with his ex-girlfriend Hadley who broke up with him with no explanation. Together, they take a journey that's much more than just a road trip.

-Our Rating: We loved this book! It was one of those books where you say you'll read 5 minutes then do your homework but there you are forcing the book closed a half an hour later. We loved how it made it more than just a journey on the road but a mental one for both characters as well and the romance in it was amazing.
